Smile Sighting!!!

I have been smiling more and more these days and my parents are desperately trying to catch me in the act. It is sort of fun to smile and then as soon as I see that little gray thing come out I stop. Gosh, it is great to be a baby!
Today, I went with my daddy to his office and mommy met us there. I was feeling a little feisty so I began smiling away at my daddy's co-workers Julie and Kim, and BAM!!, Julie caught this photo of me.
My Grandma caught me grinning over the weekend while I was lounging in my Pack N' Play. Not only am I smiling in this photo, butI'm giving my grandma a thumbs up for such a great weekend!

Two Month Check-Up!!!

Today was a busy day for me. My mommy and daddy took me to see Dr. Smith for my two-month check-up.

I'm a growing boy! My current weight is 11lbs, 10 oz and I'm 22.5" long. That puts me in the 50th percentile for my weight and 60th percentile for height. I'm in perfect proportion and the doctor was super happy with me!
That is a gain of 2.8 lbs since my 2-week check-up and 3.3 lbs since my birth! I have also grown a whole 2"!

The doctor told my parents to keep doing what they are doing with me...I'm doing great!
Then I had to have some nasty shots. The first one actually took my breath away and I laid on the table with my mouth wide open for a few seconds. I just couldn't understand, but my daddy held my hands and my mommy kept telling me everything would be fine. I had my first dose of Tylenol and that stuff is awesome...I went right to sleep! My thighs are a little tender, but I'm a big boy and will be just fine. I go back to the doctor for my 4-month check up on April 25 at 9:15.

In other baby news I have a new little friend. My daddy's co-worker and friend Mary Ellen and her husband David Kawchack welcomed a baby boy into the world today. Tristan David Kawchack! I'm so excited to have a new little buddy...I can't wait to meet him.
It was also my NoNo's and cousin Loren's birthday today...Like I said today was a busy day!!!

Me and the Bichon Named Munchkin

This is my doggy. Her name is Munchkin and she is a Bichon Frise. She is very curious about me. She looks like a big snowball. Sometimes she gives me licks and her tongue is wet and cold. I pet her with my parents help and daddy even helps me give her treats sometimes. She really likes to snuggle up with me, mommy and daddy as you can see.
She has a pillow and blanket right by my crib and she lets my parents know when I need a diaper change. We are going to be the best of friends when I get bigger and can chase her around...Yee Haw!!!

Valentine's Day with Great Grandma Joanie

After an exciting weekend meeting my Papa and Auntie Jax I learned that today is Valentine's Day! Mommy explained to me that you share Valentine's Day with a special person you love. I got many Valentine's Day cards and my Grandma and GG suprised me with two cute 'Baby's First Valentine's Day' oufits. They couldn't pick between the two so they purchased both outfits. It was exciting.
As a special treat I got to spend the night with my GG and be her special Valentine. She sent me such a nice card asking if I would be her Valentine that I ask my parents if I could spend the day and night with her. We had a great time. I wore my little outfit and we just had a smashing good time!
I really like Valentine's Day!!! Sadly nobody took a picture of me so my mommy dressed me up a little while later and snapped these photos. I also included a photo of my GG, but it is with me about 2 weeks before Valentine's Day!!!

Papa Ken and Auntie Jax Come for a Visit

I'm the luckiest little boy because most of my family lives right in Reno or Carson City except for my Papa who lives in Palm Springs, CA and Aunt who lives in Hunington Beach, CA. They came for a visit February 9-12. It was really fun to see my Papa, Grandma Karen, Cousin Bailey and Aunt Jax. On Saturday night we ate at the Silver Legacy buffet and then we all went over to the Midway at Circus Circus. Of course, I slept through the whole thing, but next morning I had new stuffed animals that my mommy, auntie, and Bailey had won for me. It was a lot of fun.
I was really a fussy Gus on Saturday afternoon and the only person that could calm me down was my Papa. I had a great time and I hope they come back really soon but if they don't my daddy and mommy are taking me on my first road trip to see Papa and Co. in March!!!
