Welcome Minor Legue Baseball to Reno

Tonight marked the first home game of the Reno Aces, our new minor league baseball team in Reno. I have been jazzed all week to go to the game and it didn't disappoint. It was very slow, but we won against the Salt Lake Bees 11-1!!!
The stadium which is right in the heart of downtown Reno has seats for 6,500 and a lawn area for another 3,000. The place was packed!!!! You couldn't even get into the team store to get a shirt because the line at one point was 250 deep! Let's hope this momentum sticks, it really is a great thing for our biggest little city to have.
After the game they let all the kids run the bases, there had to be 1,500 kids of all ages, I wasn't interested. I will do it next time.
The biggest and best thing of the baseball game was the fireworks at the end! After all the festivities were over, the stadium lights came back on, and the music stopped playing I turned to my daddy and said, 'If my GG was here she would no be happy with how loud those fireworks were.' She would have definitely made that noise she made at loud startling things.
We had a great time! Go Reno Aces!

Today after my nap I went into the kitchen and was staring at the clock on the oven. My daddy asked me what time it was. We have been practicing our numbers a lot. After staring at it intently for another few moments I finally announced that I saw a '2' and a '3' and a '7' (which looks like a hockey stick to me) and guess what??? I was right...officially marks the first time I have told time, and been right on the money!

Goodbye My GG

It is with great sadness and a little confusion that I must write this post. My Great Grandma (GG) passed away this morning after a very brief illness at Carson Tahoe Hospital. She was surrounded by family till the very end. I could not be there because she was in ICU, and I want to remember her as the 'crazy old lady' with crazy hair, and who talked funny (She was English). She watched me after my mommy went back to work until I was 10 months old.

She would always make me laugh, one time so hard I actually peed my pants! She was constantly trying to get me to eat chicken, fish and things I really don't care for, but if she did on the off chance find something I enjoyed there was no short supply of it around the house or even in her purse. I loved all the magnets on her refrigerator and how we always found a way to get into trouble, like having chocolate or candy two minutes before bed. Most of all I loved her.

I don't quite get why my mommy and daddy keep saying I won't be able to see My GG anymore when I ask for her, and I really don't understand why my parents had to sit me down to talk about GG going to heaven with my NoNo, and being very sick, and I really didn't get why everyone had 'big read noses' today, but what I do know is this...I will forever be my GG's Angel Baby, and she will forever by My GG!

Birthday Parties, Circus, and Play Doh...Oh My!

It has been very busy around my house the last month, I have had no time to share any stories till now! Weekends of late have been full of birthday parties, a circus, play doh, soccer, basketball and more.
My daddy took me to the circus the other day and that was interesting. I wasn't sure what to make of any of it. One thing I did know immediately is that I, like most humans, do not care much for clowns. I lasted for the first half, and then feel asleep with balloon swords in hand on the car ride home.
I finished up soccer a couple of weeks ago. Next up is swimming and possibly golf lessons. I really want to take gymnastics, so my parents are working on that also.
I'm still loving the Play Doh and my mommy and I got crazy with a 'picnic' lunch out of Play Doh the other day. Soda, chips and grapes, as well as hamburger, hot dog and slice of cake. Yum!
I have been to a couple of birthday parties, and I walked on a balance beam for the first time! I also jumped so high on a trampoline...it was great! It was at a very cool place called Positive Energy in Carson. It was awesome! The other birthday was at Gymboree and was also very fun and active with bubbles and little clown named Jimbo!
I even went to work with my mommy for a couple of hours the other day...I had a great time and had fun drawing my mommy pictures and playing with Play Dug and magnets in her cubicle.
As you can see, things are good, and we are looking forward to some warmer weather and Summer!
