I know you have heard or experienced a doggie taking food from the table, but have you ever heard of a toddler doing it? Thankfully there was no food to be found yet, or I would have been that toddler.
Lately, I have been helping out with small chores around the house which include taking napkins to the table and things I can't break or dump on the floor. Well, tonight I surprised my mommy and daddy by actually climbing onto the dining room table while they were not looking. When my mommy last saw me, I was safely in my booster seat at the table. She heard some clanking around in my general direction and BAM! I'm on the table just hanging out! She called my daddy and they both stood there laughing. I had a great time dumping salt all over the table. I wonder if I should have thrown some over my left shoulder?

I had my tongue stuck out, but camera wasn't fast enough!!! My mommy and daddy took me to see my first live football game and gave me a little family history today. As many of you all ready know both my parents graduated for the University of Nevada. Anyone who has lived in Reno or gone to school at UNR knows that this is the annual weekend when we play our rival college
University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The game switches back and forth each year between Reno and Las Vegas and it is a family tradition to attend in either spot. This year it was up in the North! Last year was the first time my mommy and daddy missed the game in over a decade because we were getting ready to move into our new house, but now I'm included in the annual event.
We don't just play for bragging rights but the Canon. It has been around for years and a few years ago UNLV students destroyed the original Canon after winning the game. This tells you some about the quality of UNLV students, but I digress. Anyway, the repaired Canon has been safe and sound in the North and we are happy to report it will stay that way for at least one more year! It was a pretty exciting game and we won 27-20!
I had a great time. I was clapping, screaming and yelling 'touchdown'. I was yelling 'run' and giving people around me high-fives. My uncle Mark was trying to get me to say 'First Down'. I may not have done that, but I did pick up on 'Go Pack' very quickly. My grandma and grandpa also came with a group of friends and took me for a short time to their seats. I was so excited when our winning touchdown was scored! At one point I was even dancing to the band playing. I even tried a cherry tomato and I hated it. I ended up squirting the whole thing over daddy and mark.
I was so tired after the game and the busy day that I asked to go to bed around 7 o'clock!

Reno's First Snow!

I can't believe that just a little over three weeks ago we were still reaching high 90's for our temperature in the Northern Nevada area. Since then my mommy has had to pull out my winter/fall clothes and tonight we had our first snow! No real accumulation for us down in the valley, but it snowed and it isn't even October! Hopefully this means we will have a wet winter because our summer was soooooooo dry! Plus my mommy would love to get some shots of me playing in the snow!

Daddy's Mets Hat!

After a month or so of putting two words together such as 'Daddy Hat', this morning I saw my daddy's Mets baseball cap in his closet and announced in perfect English 'Daddy's Mets Hat'! Yahoo my first complete sentence...my mommy and daddy were really excited. I was really excited! I can't believe how much my vocabulary has exploded in the past few months. Soon I'm going to be telling everybody what I think!

Peek A Boo

I was being goofy last night at the dinner table. I have decided that after a few months of not playing Peek-A-Boo, it is now my favorite game again. I play with everything that can hide my face. Such a goofy boy, I know!

Last week my parents went to Washington D.C. They actually stayed in Alexandria, VA which is about 2 Metro stops from Washington D.C. My daddy had to work but my mommy just went to hang out. A few of my daddy's co-workers also came along.
I was the lucky one and got to stay with my Grandma, Grandpa and GG who spoiled me rotten. It really was like a vacation for everyone.
My parents have been to D.C. many times so they didn't do too much sight seeing but did go on a dinner cruise down the Potomac River and went to the International Spy Museum. Gosh, I wonder who's idea that was? Alexandria is a very quiet town with lots of small shops and restaurants. It is really dog and baby friendly. My mommy karaoke one night and went to a really neat Children's book store one day. My daddy took my mommy to see the new Halloween also...oh scary.
I know my parents had a really good time, but missed me terribly! I missed them also, but absence makes the heart grow founder. When they came to get me I ran to my mommy and daddy and gave them a big hug and kiss. I was trying to turn on my extra charm.
Well, everyone made it home safe and sound!

My grandma took me to my little buddy Austin's 2nd birthday party today. Austin is a little boy I go to school with. Aidan and his mommy were also at the party. I had a good time playing. I still really don't understand all the birthday hoopla but I had a great time playing in the water and with Austin's toys.

He got a motorized car that Aidan and I had to get our hands on. The two of us took turns taking it for a spin around the backyard while the other sat in the back. I was good times!

I had a pretty chill long weekend. We played outside a lot and I went shopping with my mommy and daddy for new fall/winter clothes and got a haircut. Boy, I needed it. I got a new pair of Vans but I'm not crazy about them. My daddy tried to get me to wear them today and I cried and cried. Mommy asked me if I liked my new shoes and I told her 'no'! I'm turning into such a big boy and becoming very vocal about my likes and dislikes. I'm also very versed on the word NO! I love to tell everyone No, No! I'm like a crazed hall monitor making sure nobody does anything I don't like.
Today, my family and I went to the annual Rib Cook-off in downtown Sparks. It is sort of a final summer hurrah in our area. Believe it or not winter is on the way. It has been a very hot summer around here. We were able to go to the Rib Village which meant we had a shaded table for the 10 of us, plus free food and drink!!! It was great...I met a little girl who was just a little bit younger than me. We were planning our escape while our parents weren't looking which, of course was about 3 seconds. I was also very very excited to see baby Sabrina who is now 3 months old. She was very sad at one point and I tried to make her happy by taking all her toys out of her stroller and giving them to her. I'm pretty sure it helped. I of course wouldn't touch a rib, but I did enjoy some fruit and ice cream. I was so tired at the end I almost feel asleep in my backpack. It was a lot of fun!
