It's Potty Time!!!

I have really been studying my Potty Time Elmo video and Sesame Street book 'To Big for Diapers' and I'm seeing the bigger kids at school using the potty, and I'm happy to report that I have used the potty ever night, the past three nights, before tubby time. As soon as mommy or daddy takes my diaper off I run into my bathroom. I really like my privacy and basically kick my parents out of the bathroom to take care of business and then I go and get them as soon as I'm done.

I get a tasty treat from my parents when I have successfully used the potty. It is really exciting to both me and my family!!!

Today was my first day as a Bee at school! I'm the youngest bee in the hive, but I'm holding my own with my little bee buddies. I overheard Ms. Sally tell my mommy that I'm one of the best talkers in the group of kids transitioning from the Turtles. I have recently started to say bee, as well as, Mommy and Daddy instead of mama and dada. When I say dadd-T I sound English like my GG and Julie.
Getting ready for school I decided I wanted my mommy to spike my hair. Then it was time to leave, and as usual, I gave my doggies a good-bye treat! I try to tell them to sit but they never get it until my mommy or daddy says it. Sounds like sit to me.
I did really well at drop off, I didn't fuss one bit, but my mommy didn't fair so well. I wanted one last kiss goodbye and Ms.Sally ran me out in the hall to my mommy. My mommy gave me a big smack but then she started to cry. She just can't believe what a big boy I have become. In what seems like over night.
The whole day was a lot of fun. There are so many new and different toys. I ate well and I took a two hour nap!!! When my mommy came to pick me up I was helping Ms. Sue put toys away.
Tonight when I got home I was tired so it was a quick dinner, bath and then off to bed.
All you can say is that I'm just a busy little bee!

Can't get enough!

My family can not seem to get enough of me eating corn on the cob. It is one of my favorite foods. Every time I have it at dinner someone seems to be snapping a photo of me.

As you can see from these photos, I take my work very seriously. First, I look at the corn. I prefer it without butter but will eat it with butter. I also like white corn over yellow corn, but again I will eat both. Then I dig right in. I mean dig, I want to make sure I don't miss any of the kernels so I get my teeth down as far as I can to the core. I break to chew my hard work and then I start all over again.

My mommy returned from a week long trip to Denver late last night, so this morning when I woke up there she was. I was really excited to see her! I think she may have been a touch more excited to see me though. I overheard her telling my daddy it took everything in her not to pick me up late last night when she got home.

I also surprised her with all the new things I'm saying. Yep, just in a weeks time I have started saying 'All Gone', 'All Done' and 'See you Tomorrow'. I'm also trying to use people's names more. I try very hard to say Eric. He is a Little friend at my school.

I'm also getting really good at saying 'Ouch' when I hurt myself and can now point and say where my 'Ouch' is. My parents enjoy this so they don't have to guess as much.

Starting next week I transition from the Turtles room at school to the Bees. I'm going at the same time as six of my little friends including Aidan who most of you know. I'm going to be the youngest one in the class again. It is a great room with tons of activities and toys There is even a fish tank. It is pretty cool! My mommy took me to visit and meet Ms. Sally the other day and I didn't want to leave. I think I'm going to be very happy in this new room.

This weekend is the 21st annual Hot August Nights event. It is the time of year that old cars and music are celebrated in our area. On Wednesday evening my parents, grandma, grandpa and Warner took me to the Atlantis to check out some cars. I was pretty entertained with all the bright colors, music and engine noise. I was even able to point out to my parents a couple of the colors I saw. I really liked the color yellow.
The tradition is for our family and friends to always meet at the Silver Club in downtown Sparks on Saturday night to watch the cruise and hang out. I even have a shirt to mark the occasion. This would have been my first time. Notice the word 'would' have. I was a 'crabapotamus' as my daddy likes to call me. My grandma and grandpa dropped me off this afternoon and my GG stayed to visit, but I cried and carried on all afternoon. I wouldn't eat my lunch or take a nap. Finally, I did take a nap but woke up on the wrong side of the crib again. I was just a grouch! Needless to say we did not make it to Hot August Nights. I wanted my mommy to give me a nice warm tubby, read me Sweet Dream Kisses twice, and put me to bed. My daddy took my GG out to dinner.
Today was also my daddy's birthday! I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it won't be a birthday to remember. Although we did have a few moments of fun throwing the ball outside. I still didn't feel much like smiling but we had some fun. The grass was wet and cold on my feet. I loved looking at how I made footprints after walking on it. Mommy thought they were cute!

Swing Batter, Batter, Batter...Swing!

I have shown a big interest in anything that involves a ball. My parents are fostering this love of balls with all sorts of sports and ball related things. I have a plastic golf set, football, soccer ball, beach balls, baseballs and now I have my own tee ball set. I really like it and so does Munchkin!

I want to be a Toys R Us kid!

Many of you know that our backyard is now done, so my parents took me to the toy mecca 'Toys R Us' this afternoon to find some fun outdoor toys. Now, if you know my mom you know that she loves playing with toys and gets really excited about stuff. We went down every isle and there was lots of talk about when I'm just a little bit bigger what fun toys I will have. Well, we didn't leave the store with anything super big for the backyard (end of season not a large selection), but I did get a new dump truck filled with duplo blocks. I seem to be having a great time with that. I also got a new alphabet puzzle, Shrek lunchbox, driving Elmo, and a Tee Ball set. We had a great time!
