We have an official Report of a Tooth Sighting…

Yep, you read correctly, I have my first pearly white! I just dare someone to stick their finger in my mouth now…CHOMP!
Teething is tough business and not for the weak. I have cried, chewed, and drooled to get this one tooth. I can’t believe I’m going to have to go through this about 19 more times just for my baby teeth! But I do look pretty darn cute?

My grandma was the first to spot my new accessory this morning. She called my mommy and daddy and told them the good news. Of course my mommy wants to stalk me with the camera…what is new!

I have had sort of a rough week with colds and teeth. I will be happy when I’m comfortable enough to sleep through the night again and be a smiley boy showing off my new tooth!

Paging Dr. Smith, paging Dr. Smith

I have had a miserable few days. First a fever followed by a cough, runny nose, diarrhea, and vomiting. After a particularly rough night my daddy had to stay home and take care of me. At mommy’s urging my daddy bundled me up and took me to see Dr. Smith today. I was sort of confused because I was just there for my 6 month check-up, but when I saw Dr. Smith I smiled and he gave me a sticker with Winnie the Pooh on it which, I of course chewed on! I was just happy I didn’t have to have any pokes and sticks.
Just as an FYI: I was 18.12 lbs and 27.5”.
After a little check-up Dr. Smith told my daddy that I just have a cold. Lots of fluids and keeping me comfortable is all my parents can do.
Blah, summer colds stink!

The Way we Were!

You may have noticed some changes in the look of my blog recently.

My mommy thought a new look might be good. Something a little more 'baby'. The look we ended up with didn't seem to impress anyone, so we are now back to the way we were.
Enjoy!

Under the Sea....Okay, it was only a bed, but I was under it!

Mommy laid me on the floor to roll around this morning. It is becoming my favorite thing to do. I noticed mommy was on the other side of the bed from me, and I planned my escape. Before anyone noticed I was gone. Quick like a cat, I slipped underneath the bed. I thought I had pulled it off, but just then mommy came back to where she had left me. She would be onto me quick. I knew I had nowhere left to run, so I did what any baby 6 months old would do: look adorable and pose for some pictures.

Turns out my mommy knew right where to find me...how is that? Could have been the giggles from underneath the bed! Next time I will have a better plan, but something tells me she will always know right where I am!!!

Kraft Cheese and Macaroni...It's the Cheesiest...With a side of Cheerios

Tonight for dinner I felt like such a big boy! I was able to taste a staple of the American diet: macaroni and cheese. Can you see the pure bliss on my face? Now when you think of mac n' cheese you think powdered cheese and adding milk and butter. Not my mac n' cheese...It was completly mixed and I mean mixed. It was yummy and mashed up to a soup almost.
I enjoyed it! My mommy tasted it and said it wasn't half bad. It must be good then!
I'm just happy my mommy gave me something besides greenbeans and peaches.

I also got to play around with some Cheerios. I had great fun raking them in and then throwing them down my chair and into my diaper. Not even one made it into my mouth, but by the picture you can see I was close. My doggy Munchkin loved picking up the stray cheerios that didn't find there way to my diaper and giving them a home in her belly.

Bring on the Gold Fish crackers...Please!!!

I'm Leaving the Nest

My mommy has decided to go back to work full-time and that means that I now go to Sierra Vista Children's Academy in Carson City. I get to play with a lot of kids my age in a little house that became a daycare.

I was getting too heavy and a lot of work for my GG to watch more than two days, and Gretchen couldn't watch me more than two days a week. There was nobody left to pick up the fifth day, so mommy and daddy decided instead of driving me to a different person each day all over the Northern Nevada area I would go to SVCA. It comes a lot sooner than I had planned to go to daycare, but after a tearful good-bye at Gretchen's and missing my GG, I'm moving out of the nest and into the land of big kids at SVCA. That means learning a lot, but also possibly getting more colds. Guess you have to take the good with the bad.

So far so good!

I love it because my mommy is so close and she comes to visit me atleast two times a day. In fact, I think she might be ruining my mojo with some of the cute girls in my class. Nobody wants to be known as a mama's boy! I have a little friend Ben and I have nice people taking care of me, and I'm really happy when I get home at nights. My parents are hoping that SVCA is a short stop to the facility they would really like me to be at up in Reno. This change came up suddenly, but we all seem to be handling it well.

After my first day at SVCA I came home and played with my doggie! My daddy snapped these shots. Finally my mommy isn't the only one stalking me with the camera.

And The Rockets Red Glare!

I didn't think anything could top my Sunday at Lake Tahoe, but the fun just continued. Tuesday was the 4th of July! My Great Grandma (GG) Joanie gave me a baby's first 4th of July outfit. It was very cute. Decked out in my new duds we went to Bower's Mansion to see my mommy's family. I saw a lot kids that I'm related to. I got to see my Great Grandma Taylor and my Grammie and NoNo. It was very fun.
After that we went to Mark and Char's house for a BBQ. I got to see my parents regular friends, but I also got to meet Julie's little guys, Hannah and Jack. I played with them and took some pictures with them holding me. They had a lot of curiosity about 'the baby'.
I had a really great time. I really enjoy celebrating all these holidays!!!

To Lake Tahoe and Beyond!!!

My mommy and daddy took me on a drive to Lake Tahoe (Nevada Beach) to visit my Uncle Matt and the Buffo family over the 4th of July holiday weekend. I was really, really cranky in the morning. My mommy didn't want me to go. My gums were achy and I’m constantly drooling. They hurt so badly the other day I actually tried eating my highchair. Anyway, on with the story. By the afternoon I had some Tylenol and a nap and I was ready to rock! We went to the camp site. I was amazed by the large pine trees. They smelt really good. I saw a chipmunk and Mrs. Buffo has little doggies. I even went into the ultra cool camper they have!!!

Along with my parents and Mattie I went down to the beach. My parents had a big umbrella and I was able to roll around on my big blanket. I had my ultra cool swim trunks and SPF 50 on. I braved the water. Actually, my feet braved the water. It felt really good. I had fun splashing around and whatnot. Back under the umbrella I was snuggling with my mommy’s leg and then the urge to have a little nap came over me. I closed my eyes letting the warm breeze and mommy’s leg comfort me. When I woke up and wanted to play some more, my mommy, caught me in the nick of time from eating a handful of sand….Oh crunchy! I also saw some geese. They were as big as me...scary!

We then went back to the campsite where I had a dinner of sweet potato and everyone else had some BBQ. It was really fun to have such a new experience. The sights, sounds and people were really fun.
