Playing at School and other Fun Facts

It has been a while since I have blogged much so I thought I would catch everyone up to speed on how great life is as a 14 month old toddler.
Hmmm, lets see....

I'm working really hard at saying hi to people. Even on the phone. It comes out more like a high-pitched HHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIII!
I'm also trying to say doggie, ball, grandpa and thank you. All of these are my own versions of the actual words.

I now wave hello and bye-bye with great ease as well as walking like a champ (say hello to baby proofing the house). I'm almost running. I have some great Nike shoes my grandma gave me.

I have nine teeth now and one is a molar. That has been no fun cutting for anyone involved.

I'm throwing a ball overhand to people, but I haven't caught onto catching the ball.

I have enjoyed the wonderful warm weather we have had by playing outside in the Turtles play yard at school. I'm having a great time and love being outside. Mommy and daddy are currently working on our backyard so I can go out and play really soon.

I spent 10 days with my grandma, grandpa and GG while my parents had work trips. My mommy had to go to Atlanta, GA and my daddy Washington D.C. the following week. My mommy celebrated her birthday in Atlanta by going to the aquarium with my daddy. They brought me back a penguin and a shirt, as well as, a hat from Mt. Vernon. I got my mommy a laptop for her birthday. She is having a great time with it. I think I did well with the help of my daddy in the gift giving department.

Well, that should catch everyone up! I'm becoming a big boy...

Petting Munchkin!

As you know I love my puppy Munchkin. My mommy and daddy have helped me give her treats and pet her since I was a few days old. Well, after 10 days of not seeing my puppy I was so excited to see her that I gave her a really nice pet verses the usual hard pat she has come to love from me. I'm gaining more and more hand and arm control and this is a true example of this. She really enjoyed the soft pet and I laughed because her hair was so soft and felt funny between my fingers. My mommy tried desperately to get a picture of me petting Munch, but I just wouldn't cooperate, so he is a picture of us rolling around on the floor together having fun and of me just being goofy. Oh, I love that dog!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Today I celebrated my second Valentine's Day! This year was a little different. You may recall that last year I was almost two months old and I spent the night with my Great Grandma Joan who wanted me to be her special Valentine. This year I still spent time with my GG but it was at school in the form of a party.

About a week ago Miss Meaghan announced we were having a Valentine's Day party and wanted volunteers to bring stuff in. Mommy read off the choices and I pointed to cups, napkins and plates, so she signed us up!

I made up little Valentine's to give my buddies in the Turtle room (Funny Cats and Dogs) and wore my 'Hunk of Burning Love' shirt with my 'Heart Breaker' hoodie.

It was great we had little sandwiches, fruit, jello and I had my first juice box with a straw! That thing was awesome...I got my mom a couple of times...Yahoo! Then we finished our luncheon off with a small V-day cupcake. I threw mine on the floor after a bite. I did have big pink lips. Yummy! Both my Mommy and GG came to say hello and take some pictures. After some excitement my mommy laid me down for a nap.

With the help of Miss Meaghan I presented my parents with a Valentine of my own. It is a photo of me in a frame made by Miss Aysia. In the photo I'm wearing angel wings and holding a bow and arrow. I also finger painted a little picture with pink paint.

I received a little bag with Valentine's goodies from my buddies and a new sippy cup from Aidan's Mommy.

I finished off my second V-day having dinner with my Mommy and Daddy and then snuggling with my Mr. Monkey. I love that little guy!

Uh Oh!!!

My new favorite word is Uh Oh!!! I say it about 500 times a day. It is very cute...Just wanted to let everyone know I have a new word! I'm working on saying doggie. Also, I'm walking everywhere now...still look like Frankenstein but I'm a big boy?

You Raise Me Up!!!

Today was the memorial service for my NoNo. A video tribute produced by Tim Renner's Creative Custom Video phone number (775) 750.6990 was played at the end of NoNo's service. He did an amazing job.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and loving thoughts during this time. My entire family really appreciates it.

There was a blue teddy bear that appeared while my NoNo was in the hospital. It was actually one of the last things my mommy and daddy took out of his hospital room the night he passed away. We had it next to a picture of NoNo during the service. When we got home I reached for the blue bear and gave it a big hug and kiss and dragged it around the house. The bear is now called 'NoNo Bear' and I know that when I miss my NoNo I can give my 'NoNo Bear' a hug and he will be close.
