How would you like a sippy of juice my Dear?

My mommy gave me a new toy after dinner. It has handles, but looks sort of like a bottle. I grabbed it by the handles and before I knew it, the sippy was in my mouth. I was amazed at how comfy it felt. Mommy kept getting me to tilt my head back and when I did…Whoa!!! I got my first experience with the amazing flavor of apple juice! I got really excited and banged the cup against my highchair and let out a big squeal of delight! I wanted to practice by myself. I popped it into my mouth and didn’t quite manage the head tilting, but oh did I slurp and slurp.
Now I get my sippy cup once a day to ‘practice’ as my mommy calls it. Sometimes I get the amazing apple juice, but most of the time it is just water. I love to throw it on the floor and bang it on my highchair. It makes a really loud noise!

Six Month Checkup!!!!

Yep, you can say it!!!! I'm a big boy now!!!!

Mommy and daddy took me to see Dr. Smith today for my 6-month baby wellness visit.

Here is the down and dirty since I know this is what you all want. I'm offically 18.7 lbs and 27" long! That puts me in the 75 percentile for both my weight and height...I'm doing awesome!
The doctor was happy I was in the same percentile for both because it means I'm very, very well proportioned!!!

My hips were good, my reflexes great, and my strength is awesome! My organs sounded good and I reached out and grabbed a little man the doctor had on his shirt. I smiled and bounced on my daddy's lap through most of the visit. I'm hitting my developmental milestones and the doctor is very happy. He is happy to hear my mommy and daddy are giving me such a variety of food and gave them some tips on transitioning from a liquid diet to a solid diet.

He also told them to make sure they are reading to me everyday! My mind is like a sponge...

The next time I have to see Dr. Smith is when I'm 15 months (March). Can you believe it???
I'm happy because everytime I go in there I get stuck!!! Ouch, ouch, ouch!!! No more immunizations until 15 months!!! Yahoo...

I really didn't take the shots too well this time. I wasn't in the mood and I figure I may as well play it up since I won't have anymore for a while. I cried and cried, but it was nothing a nap in my favorite swing couldn't fix!!!

I'm doing well! My mommy and daddy are taking good care of me and it shows!

Happy Father's Day!!!!

Today is Father's Day and we have a lot to celebrate because I have the best daddy in the whole world.
My mommy and I came up with a sort of unique gift for a unique man, and mommy cooked a lot of food and goodies all day long. They both told me that next year I will be able to eat the good stuff my mommy was making! I wore my daddy's favorite outfit and he didn't really get out of his cuddly robe until the afternoon. Nobody else celebrated the day with us, but that is okay, everybody else was busy celebrating their own Father's Day.

I was very tired by the end of the night. I couldn't wait to get into my crib and cuddle up with blue blankie....Ohhhhhhhh Yaaaaaaa!

Hang 10 Dude!!!

Okay, well maybe I'm not catching waves yet, but I look the part!

My mommy purchsed some hip swim trunks. shirt, and hat so I could get into the pool this summer. It took a while, but mommy finally found me a baby pool. The weather was awesome on Saturday, so my mommy put me in my trunks, while daddy set up the pool and umbrella!

I really wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but then I warmed up to it quickly. I love my tubby time, but this water was a lot different! It was colder and not as deep. That could have been because I wouldn't sit down in the pool. I did it once and nearly froze my little tush plum off!

My doggie got in the pool so it was fun to see her splashing around! After playing in the pool my mommy wrapped me in a big blanket and took my wet clothes off. We played for some time on my changing pad. I actually gave my mommy a full on giggle! Then I of course shared the giggle with my daddy!
I had a good time hanging by the pool on a Saturday afternoon!!!

Mommy and Grammie took me to have my six month pictures taken at Kiddie Kandids. This is a really sore subject with my mommy!
I really didn't have a great time...not like my 3-month pictures, but I got through it and here are the pictures!

Let's Ride a Bull...The Rodeo is in Town!

The summertime and warmer wheather has introduced me to so many new things. I have learned that the start of the summer means the Reno Rodeo...The Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West!
After dinner Thursday night my mommy and daddy strapped me into my pouch and we entered an interesting place with lots of big flashy rides and people everywhere.

After a short walk my parents found my Uncle Joe and Auntie Rachel. We all sat down and then my mommy begain pestering me and my ears. She stuck something in them. All of a sudden I couldn't hear as well and they were big and yellow...not a good look for a baby with game, like myself!!!! Anyway, I decided not to mess with them. I figured those people would never see me again.

I couldn't believe all the action. The bulls were fast and one came right by us! The part I liked the most was the little kids riding sheep! It was really funny! I really liked all the sheep...I had never seen a sheep before, but I think my sister looks like a minature one!

I also got to see fireworks! Oh Wow!!! I could hardly believe my eyes. The colors, sounds, and shapes. My mommy told me what a big boy I was! I guess some babies cry at such noises, but not me...I loved it!!! Plus remember the yellow things? Also, my mommy put her hands over my ears, but that didn't keep me from looking in amazement!

I met a new couple who drove truck. They just happened to be in town. The guy was really funny and I smiled and laughed at him the whole evening. They told my mommy and daddy they had never seen such a happy baby!

That would be me....Mister Happy Pants himself!!!!!

Summer Colds Stink!!!

As many of you know I have a play date once a week with three other litttle boys. Well disaster struck last week when we all came down with a summer cold! Yuck!!!
My mommy thought I had a cold once before, but I didn't, this has become my offical first illness!
I have had a cough...I really didn't care much for that! What is the deal with my nose always being wet and sticky? My eye's were red and swollen. My mommy and daddy had to change my diaper ever three seconds because that stuff burns if left on my bum too long. I even got to taste the same bottle twice...not so good the second time around!!!

My mommy called Dr. Smith who told her not to worry. Then all of a sudden I was getting some yummy medicine every few hours!

Anyway this weekend I'm feeling much, much better! I still am liking to sleep my days away, but I haven't coughed once today!
