You would think it is a weekend in December....Playing indoors during July!

Late this week I came down with a cold. My first in nearly six months. My daddy stayed home with me yesterday and took me to see my doctor who said lots of fluids and rest and I should be fighting fit in a few days. My daddy stopped by Walgreens after the doctor and I was not happy about this. I wanted a nap and I let anyone and everyone in the store know it. When we got home I crashed on my daddy's lap.

Well, this morning my mommy woke up and has a cold! This has really put a damper on our weekend plans. I had a birthday party for my buddy Jack that I couldn't attend and I really can't go out and play because it was windy! My mommy is really happy wink, wink! She has been hanging out on the couch most of today. Daddy went to the store to stock up on cold medication for her. I'm sure she is counting the minutes till I go to bed tonight. Actually, I'm counting the minutes till I go to bed. I'm exhausted!

One positive: I have taken a great interest in my puzzle toys. I've been having some fun just hanging out playing with my indoor toys and reading books.

I do hope mommy and I feel better tomorrow and my daddy doesn't come down with the cold!

Jacob...Jump!

The past few days I have been trying my hardest to jump. Sometimes I get both my feet off the ground and sometimes I just get one foot up. I'm having a lot of fun tyring!

Beautiful Nevada Sunset

Tonight we had an amazing sunset! This was the view from the front of our home. At one point the whole sky looked like it was on fire. It was nice to see our beautiful sunsets instead of smoke.

Today after our doggie adventures I played in my Splish, Splash pool. I was having a lot of fun, when Wylie came over and started drinking some water. What an exciting idea I thought to myself. I decided that I would join Wylie and proceeded to get down on all fours and start licking water from my Splish, Splash pool. Okay, so my parents are watching and start laughing. I guess it was funny to see me acting like a doggie. Sometimes I forget I can just ask for a glass of water. My mommy was just thankful it was fairly fresh and clean water! I'm thankful that I was quick enough with my antics to avoid a picture being taken.

This morning my parents packed up the whole family and we went to Art Paws in the Park. It was a free event as part of Artown, an event every summer in Reno. Proceeds from raffles went to the SPCA in our area. We meet up with a couple of my mommy's co-workers who also have dogs. I rode in my backpack and was so excited with all the doggies I saw. There were so many! I saw two huge Saint Bernard's and some tiny little Yorkies. There were lots of little booths for pet sitting, grooming, clothes, food, and vets. They had doggie 'finger' painting, musical chairs which Munchkin won a prize at! They also had a pet Physic that my mommy and daddy took Munckin and Wylie to. My mommy wanted to be sure that Wylie Dog is happy in his new home. The lady was sort of lame, but said something interesting about Cheetos and my grandfather 'NoNo' who passed away. This of course made my mommy tear up. Basically, we are pretty sure on our own that Wylie is happy in his new home. I was excited because the leaves of a tree we were standing by kept tickling me!
My mommy's co-worker Lisa has a little doggie named Oscar and he got a pair of goggles. He likes to hang his head out the window of the car while she drives. We had a good time!

BBQ, BBQ and more BBQ's!

Today I attended two BBQ's!

First, I went with my grandma, grandpa and GG to my grandma's company picnic. I had a lot of fun and played with markers, fed some ducks, played on the playground equipment and played with some bigger kids which I love! My grandma also gave me a lollipop...yummy!

Then I came home and my parents had a few friends over for a BBQ. I got to see baby Sabrina Conforti. Uncle Mark even fed the baby. It was funny! I played and had a lot of fun with everyone. I even met a few new people and had a great time playing with an empty water bottle. It made the coolest noise ever!

It was a busy day and I was tired by the end of the night. I had to have a bath and I was DIRTY, but I turned in at my usual 8:00, the party went on!

Grasping for Straws...

What to blog, what to blog. Sort of grasping for straws here.

Well, not much has been happening around our house. Wylie dog is still doing really well, and the weather has been a bit cooler. We still have a lot of fires burning around our area and the air is very smokey at times.

My parents took me to Wild Island (daddy's company picnic) on Saturday, but they forgot the camera. Even if they had remembered the camera the memory card was not in the camera, so pictures were just not meant to be taken at the fun event. I was much more active this year than last year and really enjoyed the water and all the kids. They have a whole little area for younger kids. It was fun!

So I was being goofy with my daddy the other morning and he snapped these photos of me. As you can see I almost have a full set of teeth. I will be so happy to have all that over. Teething is tough business!

Hopefully something fun will happen this week or weekend and I can have something more exciting to post. I am going to my grandma's company picnic on Saturday! From what I hear, those PEBP employees are wild and crazy!
