Are you okay baby girl?

This was the question I asked when I saw my doggy Munchkin on Sunday morning. On Saturday night after I had gone to bed my daddy had to take Munchkin to a vet because she was sick. She had to spend the night and have a minor surgery. She now has a cone around her neck. Apparently to keep her from licking. She loves it...wink, wink! Munch will be fine with a little rest and antibiotics. We are all trying to be extra gentle with our baby Munch! Even Wylie Dog!

Budding Artist...

I have quite the creative streak. I love to paint and color. Sometimes I just use a pencil and plain white paper, but many times I use chalk, glue, markers, stamps, crayons, feathers and toothpicks to make art. Everything can become a creation.
I came home the other day and my mommy had hung a lot of my artwork, created at home and school, on the walls of my playroom. I wanted to share some of my creations with everyone.

Two Years???

It seems unfathomable that you have been gone for two years. I'm not even close to the same little boy I was when you passed away, but I know you know that. We know you watch over us and share in our lives even if we don't actually see you doing it.
We see and hear things everyday, in even the smallest way, that remind us of you, and we miss you very much NoNo.

Soccer Week Two

So, It has been pretty quiet around our house lately. Nothing of interest lending its self to a blogging opportunity.

It has been raining this weekend which has been nice since we have had no water in what feels like months.

I'm happy to report that I'm in week two of soccer and I'm having a lot of fun. My first week my Great Grandma Joan came with us to watch the festivities.

My coach is named Bill and he is a very nice and patient man. We are learning soccer basics such as dribbling the ball down the field and trapping the ball. All this is accomplished by fun games like 'Red Light, Green Light'. We also play with things like cones and hoola hoops. All this is part of learning to run around and notice your own space. Unfortunately today I accidentally bonked heads with another little boy, which lead to tears.

At only week two, I'm all ready listening better and doing little kicks instead of the giant kicks from last week.

All the parents look very amused by the activities, and all of us hear lots of giggles and clapping from the cheering section.

My mommy and daddy have taken tons of pictures, but the lighting conditions don't make for very viewable pictures. Here are a few of me trapping the ball and lining up with the other little guys.

Lil' Kicker....

Now that I'm three a whole new world has opened up for me...organized sports. In our area we have lots of places to join up and do things such as gymnastics, swimming, and soccer just to name a few.
Perfect for the cold winter months when going outside for long stretches of time is almost impossible, and I have a ton of energy to burn off.
Today, my mommy and daddy took me to a place called Lil' Kickers where I can play soccer. The season starts next Saturday until late March. I'm officially a 'Hopper' and will be playing with beginners between the ages 3 and 4 every Saturday at 10. The classes focus on foot-eye coordination, dribbling, scoring and balance. It will introduce me to the concept of teamwork and cooperation and involves no actual competitive soccer, but it is great fun to run up and down the indoor field kicking the ball with a bunch of little guys like me. We also played a game called Shark and Red Light, Green Light up and down the field.
I'm pretty jazzed about all this and wanted to take my soccer ball with me into Chili's for lunch. I'm also still wearing my little jersey around the house. At the rate I'm going I might be wearing the shorts to bed.

Just a little Christmas Kiss

How about this when you get to work?

I usually don't talk much about the interests of my parents; because honestly, you are all interested in just me, right?

I couldn't help but post this about my mommy. My mommy is madly in love with a little book series titled Twilight...have you heard of it?

Well, anyone who really knows my mommy knows that she has read the entire series multiple times and actually took a vacation day from work to see the first movie in the series titled Twilight when it came out in November. She has since seen the movie three times. She and her girlfriends like Julie and Kelly have followed the production of the movie and the actors staring in it, especially a guy named Rob Pattinson who plays Edward, the main guy from Twilight. Apparently all women are dazzled by him.

Well, in true Christmas spirit a package arrived on our doorstep a little over a week ago. it was an odd shaped package and sort of got pushed to the side for a couple of days due to larger packages rolling in. Finally one night while my mommy was rummaging around the house my daddy opened the package and low and behold it was a life-sized cardboard cutout of Edward!

Who would have sent my mommy such a fitting and funny gift you may ask....Ben and Brittan Barnholdt.

Ben is who told my daddy to first buy Twilight for my mommy...he thought she would like it...my daddy did...and my mommy loved it...the rest as they say is history!

The first night in our house was a rough one for poor Edward. I cried when I met him in the hallway heading to the potty and Munchkin and Wylie were on high alert growling at him. Then I told my mommy he was yuck, right in front of him, and asked why his skin was gray. Then I decided all that was left to do was give him a good Karate chop to the midsection and knock him down.

My mommy decided that Edward was for sharing with her good friends so he left our house to go on a promotional tour. He has made stops to visit Julie at the RSCVA, and to mommy's work at the Nevada State Health Division. First he stopped to say hi to Kelly, a true Twilight fan, and then a guy by the name of Jim and then Christine. Mommy has tried to take pictures along the way of everyone meeting Edward from Twilight. It is very exciting!

Finally, yesterday afternoon after a whirlwind of activity Edward found a home in my mommy's cubicle at work. He is standing tall for all to see. People my mommy has worked with for years, but has never really met are coming into her cubicle just to see Edward. Guys she works with are comparing themselves to Edward and seeing how they measure in height to such a dazzling guy!
