Happy Halloween!
Tonight I celebrated my second Halloween! I dressed up as a monkey, complete with a banana in my pocket. It was a day of tricks and treats. First at school we had our traditional Pumpkin Parade. We got to dress up in our costume and trick or treat around the WNC campus. My mommy, daddy and Great Grandma Joan joined in on the fun! All my little friends dressed up and a lot of parents came to help us all get the hang of Trick or Treating.
One of the professors at WNC had a candy bowl that had a hand in it that would snap at you when you reached for the candy. I watched it a couple of times and I couldn't be bothered by this so I smashed the hand down and took a piece of candy with my other hand. Of course saying 'Thank You' at my mommy's urging. It was pretty funny!I helped my mommy make little goody boxes for all my friends and other people brought in treats as well.
After school we decided to just Trick or Treat around my grandma and grandpa's neighborhood. It was my grandpa's birthday yesterday, so we thought it would be fun to spend Halloween night with him. I helped my grandma put rocks in the luminaries along the walkway. My grandparents home was all decked out and there was even scary music and a fog machine. I wasn't even phased by all this! I called the blow up creatures in the yard my 'buddies' and told my grandpa who was wearing a scary mask that he was silly. On a side note I learned my mommy really doesn't like masks at all, and ran screaming from grandpa trying to hide in the kitchen. He found her! I thought this all was very funny, so did my daddy! Mommy told daddy not to get any bright idea about this new found weakness of my mommy's.
We only went to a handful of houses but I cleared the loot on candy. My whole Elmo candy bucket was full! I even passed out some candy. Needless to say, after such a busy day I was tired and ready for bed. I had a great time and know I will be even more excited for Halloween next year.
Happy Halloween...hope your day was filled with special treats and only a few tricks!
