Weekend at Grandma's

I went for a visit to my Grandma's house on January 27-29! I had the best time with my Grandma, Great Grandma Joanie, Grandpa Roger and Bonnie the dog...
They spoiled me rotten with new toys, books and clothes. I met a lot of their friends during the weekend. I love seeing new faces.
My Nana gave me a tubby in the sink with a big blue towel so I wouldn't slip. It was fun doing so many new things.
I even got to see my first golf course and country club, my Grandpa Roger loves to play golf.
My Grandma's birthday was on that Saturday and I got to see everyone eat cake, Yummy!!
I was so excited that I couldn't even take a nap on Saturday so believe you me when I say I was a tired little man that night!
I'm going for another visit in February. I know we will have so much fun...

I Am Loved

This is a blanket that one of my Daddy's co-workers hand-made for me. Katie Rusche made me the most beautiful quilt with little mice in action on it. It has a 'postage stamp' on the back that has all the stats of my arrival.
It is just an example of all the gifts and wonderful things that I have been so blessed with. It is great to be so loved! I'm very, very thankful for that...

Splish, Splash...I Was Taking a Bath

This is me after having a tubby! My dad wrapped me in a huge duckie towel so I would be all nice and warm. We sat down for just a moment and my mom snapped this photo of us.

I'm Here!!!

Finally, after nine long months I decided to make my grand entry into the world on Christmas Day 2005!
I was the very first Christmas baby delivered in Washoe County. My mom was happy I was only 7lbs, 8oz since, she had carried me to a full 40 weeks! I aim to please...

Christmas Eve 2005...Is it Time???

Hmmm...well it is Christmas Eve and we went to the hospital yesterday were they assured us that you were not on your way yet even though I thought you were. Christmas Eve is a big tradition in our family and everyone from both sides of the family get together to eat, visit and exchange gifts. Earlier today your grammie, Aunt Holly and I went to lunch and then had pedicures. I really needed one...everyone at the salon kept asking me when my due date was. 'Today' I kept replying. Everyone was amazed I was even out!
We also took the doggies Frankie and Munchkin for a short walk when we first got home.
I tried my hardest to stay active and in fact had even went dancing the prior Saturday after your daddy's work Christmas party.
Well, we returned home and I still thought I didn't feel right, but they had assured me I wasn't in labor only 24 hours before and I swore we would not return to the hospital until we were positive it was time.
As the family started to gather at the house and a few friends also stopped by I decided to put a movie in. Christmas Vacation staring Chevy Chase is a Christmas classic. I bent over to put the DVD in the player and when I stood back up...whoosh!!! Oh my, I sheepishly made my way to our bedroom where I stayed for a good 20 minutes because I swore we were not going back to the hospital unless it was time. I finally called the doctor who advised us to go to the hospital.

I make my appearance and announce to all that we needed to leave. Matt Buffo just couldn't believe it! All he kept saying is 'Now, your in labor now!" Your dad was much cooler about the whole situation. We left the family behind with a promise to call once we heard anything. They came down soon there after on their own. At one point everyone was in the room....staring at me!

As I waited for your dad to back the car out of the garage our neighbor asked how everything was going and I informed her that we were going to the hospital. She too was amazed! Funny...

After getting to the hospital for the second time they still thought I wasn't ready, but then oh my it was time! Before I knew it I was hooked up to drips and lines, beeps and whistles.
Well, needless to say you were well on your way. That was at about 6:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and you were born at 5:19 the next morning.
