Four Month Checkup!!!
Today my parents decided I had to visit with Dr. Smith since I'm now 4-months old.
The visit was great, at first!
In the morning I thought it would be fun to throw up all over my mommy as we played airplane! I never miss my mark...She laughed as my spit-up was running down her cheek and neck, but what is truly funny is that 'smell' of hour old formula takes weeks to wear off. I think mommy was getting back at me because some how when I was gettting a diaper change I managed to pee all over myself. Mommy forgot to 'cover' me and I ended up with a pool of pee in my belly button and even some on my face. Mommy was quick to clean me up...note to self, only pee when it will make it on to someone else!
Also, my doggie Munchkin decided it would be fun to destroy my clothes hamper. Whew!...what a morning.
Then it was off to pick up daddy from work. Mommy made sure I was feed, given Tylenol (that should have been my first clue this may not be fun), and taking a nap on the way to the doctor's office.
When I arrived I was very happy and decided to show Destiny, my nurse, a smile! I think it made her day. I had to get naked, but after being weighed my daddy held me in a super soft blanket.
My offical weight is 16 lbs, .02 oz and I'm 25" long. That puts me in the 75th percentile for my weight and 50th percentile for my height. The doctor was very happy with my growth.
The doctor looked me all over and put a cold circle thing on my chest. He had a funny little guy on this and it made me laugh. We also played bicycle legs and pop up a baby! He is a funny doctor! He told me I was a happy baby!
The doctor told my parents I looked great and he was very, very happy with my past two months, and whatever they are doing to keep it up. I have met all my milestones and the doc was super impressed with my ability to hold my head up. He told me I was a very strong boy...BEEFCAKE!
I'm able to start solids. Not sure what that means, but I think it must be a good thing. Both my parents had smiles on their faces. They kept saying rice cereal and then I heard a new word...vegetables. Hmmm, should be interesting!
I had to have more dreaded shots. I know they keep my safe from horrible illnesses, but I hate them. I did better this time. You may remember last time I lost my breath, but this time I just cried and cried. My daddy held me and I could hear my mommy saying I was fine. I managed to pick myself up and be a big boy after a few minutes. I went out to the car with my daddy and waited for mommy to make me another appointment in 2 months. I got back to Dr. Smith on June 26th.
So I sign-off for now because I need my mommy to give me some more Tylenol and a nap!
