Yummy, Yummy for my Tum, Tum, Tummy

Tonight I enjoyed my first real meal with a bowl and spoon. My mommy made me a wonderful dish of single grain rice cereal and baby formula. Yummy, yummy!!!
At first I wasn't too sure of the object mommy had in her hand. It had a funny little bear on it. I was staring at it and I went sort of cross-eyed when it got close to my mouth. The food was so much better than the bottle. That was getting really old.
I surprised my parents with how well I ate from a spoon. I didn't have too much food dribbling down my chin. I tried at one point to grab the bowl away from my mommy, but that lady is tough. We fought for a couple seconds, and I let go. I just wanted to show mommy and daddy I could feed myself or better yet make a mess on the floor!
My parents are starting slow and I will only have rice cereal once a day for right now. Then it is on to orange veggies!

Okay Jake, here are a few little inside tips. The sweet potatoes ROCK, but watch out for the regular potatoes - that stuff's NASTY. If you're lucky, your mum and dad will blend up their yummy food in a baby food blender and let you eat what they're eating - it's way better than that goo they put in the jars with the ugly baby's face on! Just some things we figured out. The other thing is, as yout get bigger, absolutely refuse to eat anything that's remotely good for you - pizza, mac 'n cheese and chocolate are staples - but our mum doesn't believe us... Also, take FOREVER to eat, it'll drive your parents nuts, but it's really fun to do! Not to mention that fruit will be your favourite thing one day and you'll detest it the next - that's a great one! Have fun with this eating lark - we do!
Lots of love,
Hannah & Jack
