D-A-D...Dad...D-O-G...Dog...and Homework
As you many of you know, I have been attending a preschool since September. I have been having a great time meeting new friends and doing lots of learning. This is a prep school for when I get to go to actual school, in hold your breath...just a couple of years ( I can see my mommy tearing up all ready).
The things we do at preschool which are like regular school is saying the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning, eating hot lunch in a common area and having a lunch lady.
I'm in transition to move to the next room and in this new room we have homework, yes homework, this week was five pages going over the letter S and the number 8 and it is due on Friday, so as my daddy made dinner, my mommy helped me trace my letters, color bubbles and draw a face on a sun. I admit I whined a little at how much I had to do and tried bating my eyelashes to see if my mommy would do it, Batman and his friends were calling me, but I soon realized that wasn't happening so I got down to business.
This falls in line with all the work my mommy and daddy do at home with helping me learn how to read and recognize letters. I now know that d-o-g spells dog and b-o-y spells boy and u-p spells up just to name a few. I'm even starting to pick the words I know out of stories my parents read to me at night, and try and use the words in little sentences I make up. My parents have even caught me getting up, turning my bedroom light on, and looking at books well past my bedtime.
I'm very proud of all these accomplishments, and can't believe that in no time I will be reading the books to my parents.
I'm still going to try and get my mommy to do my homework though. A boy can dream!
