Draft Day With my Daddy and Colin!

Today and tomorrow are very important days for the upcoming season of football...NFL Draft!!!
My daddy got up with me very early to dress me in a Cowboy onesie so we could sit and watch the draft with Colin. It was very interesting. I was giving the guys my two-cents on the situation in between bottles and naps. It was a great day! My dad seemed pleased with our team picks.
Go Cowboys!!!

Yummy, Yummy for my Tum, Tum, Tummy

Tonight I enjoyed my first real meal with a bowl and spoon. My mommy made me a wonderful dish of single grain rice cereal and baby formula. Yummy, yummy!!!
At first I wasn't too sure of the object mommy had in her hand. It had a funny little bear on it. I was staring at it and I went sort of cross-eyed when it got close to my mouth. The food was so much better than the bottle. That was getting really old.
I surprised my parents with how well I ate from a spoon. I didn't have too much food dribbling down my chin. I tried at one point to grab the bowl away from my mommy, but that lady is tough. We fought for a couple seconds, and I let go. I just wanted to show mommy and daddy I could feed myself or better yet make a mess on the floor!
My parents are starting slow and I will only have rice cereal once a day for right now. Then it is on to orange veggies!

Four Month Checkup!!!

Today my parents decided I had to visit with Dr. Smith since I'm now 4-months old.
The visit was great, at first!

In the morning I thought it would be fun to throw up all over my mommy as we played airplane! I never miss my mark...She laughed as my spit-up was running down her cheek and neck, but what is truly funny is that 'smell' of hour old formula takes weeks to wear off. I think mommy was getting back at me because some how when I was gettting a diaper change I managed to pee all over myself. Mommy forgot to 'cover' me and I ended up with a pool of pee in my belly button and even some on my face. Mommy was quick to clean me up...note to self, only pee when it will make it on to someone else!
Also, my doggie Munchkin decided it would be fun to destroy my clothes hamper. Whew!...what a morning.

Then it was off to pick up daddy from work. Mommy made sure I was feed, given Tylenol (that should have been my first clue this may not be fun), and taking a nap on the way to the doctor's office.

When I arrived I was very happy and decided to show Destiny, my nurse, a smile! I think it made her day. I had to get naked, but after being weighed my daddy held me in a super soft blanket.

My offical weight is 16 lbs, .02 oz and I'm 25" long. That puts me in the 75th percentile for my weight and 50th percentile for my height. The doctor was very happy with my growth.
The doctor looked me all over and put a cold circle thing on my chest. He had a funny little guy on this and it made me laugh. We also played bicycle legs and pop up a baby! He is a funny doctor! He told me I was a happy baby!

The doctor told my parents I looked great and he was very, very happy with my past two months, and whatever they are doing to keep it up. I have met all my milestones and the doc was super impressed with my ability to hold my head up. He told me I was a very strong boy...BEEFCAKE!

I'm able to start solids. Not sure what that means, but I think it must be a good thing. Both my parents had smiles on their faces. They kept saying rice cereal and then I heard a new word...vegetables. Hmmm, should be interesting!

I had to have more dreaded shots. I know they keep my safe from horrible illnesses, but I hate them. I did better this time. You may remember last time I lost my breath, but this time I just cried and cried. My daddy held me and I could hear my mommy saying I was fine. I managed to pick myself up and be a big boy after a few minutes. I went out to the car with my daddy and waited for mommy to make me another appointment in 2 months. I got back to Dr. Smith on June 26th.

So I sign-off for now because I need my mommy to give me some more Tylenol and a nap!

Special Moment with my Daddy...

Mommy snapped a photo of me sharing a special moment with my daddy. We were partaking in what I'm fast learning is America's favorite pastime...baseball. My daddy's favorite team is the New York Mets. He promises to take me to the their new stadium when it is built. He says the current one stinks.

All I know is everyday my daddy watches one man hold a club while another throws something at him. He then tries to hit the object away from him. This is done over and over. My daddy sometimes yells at the men, but they never seem to hear him like I do.
I just love being one of the boys!!!

South of Town or Bust...

Daddy and Mommy are picking up shop and moving us from Northwest Reno to the South end of town later this year. They took me to see our new stomping grounds today. It doesn't look like much now, but I'm going to have so much more room to terrorize . Our new home will have 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a 3 car-garage. My daddy is excited about the last part of that statement. He says we have a lot of junk that could go there. Huh! My mommy keeps talking about the fireplace. It looks great! You hit a button and fire appears. I could stare at it for hours!!!
My new home will be on Welsh Mountain court...I'm looking forward to spending my first birthday (Christmas) in a new pad!

Can I Have a Peek???

My GG watches me during the day while my mommy and daddy go to work. She likes to take me for walks in my travel stroller. A lot of times I must have my face covered because of the cold weather and Nevada wind. I really would like to have a look, everyone seems like they are having such a good time, but as you can see Munckin is leading the charge and I'm under tight wraps. I still have a lot of fun hanging with my GG and doggie, but I hope one day I can have a peek!

My First Easter

How Exciting! I just learned about this new holiday which allows me to get more toys and gifts in a basket and I'm told that when I have teeth (whatever those are) I will get a big chocolate foil wrapped bunny that I can eat...yummy!!! Also mommy mentioned to daddy when they thought I was napping that I will have to visit the Easter bunny for pictures next year. Hmmm...could be interesting.

I spent the morning of my first Easter at my GG, Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mommy and daddy met us at the Carson Valley Inn for brunch. Smelling all the food made me want a bottle so mommy had to wait before loading up her plate to make sure my belly was full. My GG started letting me smell food that she eats. She read it will awaking my sense of smell, so I was able to get a whiff of bacon, biscuits, ham, and eggs.

I was pretty tired after a long morning and seeing so many people. My GG tried to walk me around the CVI in my travel stroller, but I didn't like it. My mommy picked me up and she was so snuggly and warm I decided to take a cat nap.

I got some great Easter gifts. I got an Easter sleeper and I decided to pee on it before I could wear it for more than the above picture. I got stuffed toys. One is a big duck that quacks out songs, as well as, three new little stuffed friends...those are from NoNo and Grammie. I got a stuffed blue bunny from my Great Grandma Joyce and I got a Longaberger Easter basket filled with a toy phone, outfit, sunglasses, yellow bunny and a little stuffed man.

The weather my first Easter stunk. We had to leave Carson City early because it was snowing. It snowed at my house the entire day. By the time I woke up the next day we had mountains of snow. My daddy didn't like it. My doggie Munckin ran around in it and then came in the house and shook if off herself.

It was an exciting day. I can't wait for the next holiday!
